Kevin Sullivan, a legendary wrestler, died at the age of 74.
He had an accident in May that left him with a serious injury from which he never fully recovered.
WWE confirmed The Taskmaster’s death early Thursday morning, which led to many people paying tribute to the former World Championship Wrestling star.
A GoFundMe was set up for the wrestler last month after his daughter Nicole said that he had a “devastating accident” in May while he was in Florida signing autographs.Nicole wrote on the fundraiser page, “He had emergency surgery that saved his leg and life, but serious problems followed, including sepsis and encephalitis.”
“This unplanned disaster has put a huge financial strain on Kevin’s family, as he has been in and out of consciousness in the ICU, away from home.”
“Despite these problems, Kevin has been incredibly strong. He’s still fighting to get his freedom months later.
Although the fundraiser is no longer working, it raised more than $54,000 for the family’s medical bills.

Wrestling legend Mark Henry wrote on Facebook, “Prayers for the family! Best wishes!”Nicole posted an update to the GoFundMe on July 15 saying that Sullivan was “regaining a lot of physical strength.”“He does physical and occupational therapy daily, with the goal and ultimate hope that he regains his independence.”
Sullivan’s death was announced the day before Flair talked about him in a positive way on X.
